Life as a woman in the Army

13,000 women serve in every corps and regiment, on equal terms.

At a glance

We don't just say it's equal. We're working to make sure it is. Women in the British Army serve at every rank and in every role, including leadership. From engineering to intelligence, medicine to combat, there are no limits on what your career can become. And you'll develop the kind of skills, confidence, and friendships that stick with you through life. You'll also have equal pay and equal family benefits, like flexible service options and parental leave, if and when you need it.
